  3.                   Welcome to the KINFOLKS Genealogical System
  4.                  A Shareware Product of  JIMSHARE Software Lab
  5.  
  6.            We hope you enjoy using KINFOLKS to assist you in your
  7.       endeavors to track and record your Ancestors and Descendents.
  8.       With KINFOLKS, the effort of documentation will be greatly
  9.       reduced.  We hope you will be pleased at the ease of use of
  10.       the KINFOLKS System and enjoy the capabilities it has.

  12.            Care was taken to make KINFOLKS Folks-friendly.  However,
  13.       we are aware of the different levels of computer expertise in
  14.       the domain of Personal Computer users.  If all else fails, read
  15.       the manual first -- completely.  Do some logical reasoning about
  16.       the problem you are experiencing, then attempt to correct the
  17.       error or problem condition.  If you cannot solve the problem,
  18.       write to us.  Send as much info as possible - diskettes with
  19.       your files would help greatly.

  21.            Now, on with the procedures to run KINFOLKS...  First make
  22.       make a backup of your diskette to safeguard your copy of KINFOLKS.
  23.       Next, print the documentation so you can have it in hand as you
  24.       test drive KINFOLKS for the first time.  Use the procedures below
  25.       to install KINFOLKS.  Enter "KINFOLKS" to execute the system.

  27.            1.  To print KINFOLKS Manual...

  29.                a.  If not archived,   COPY HANDYKIN.PRN,PRN

  31.                B.  If archived,       PAK P A:KINFOLKS.SDN *.PRN > PRN

  33.            2.  To install KINFOLKS...

  35.                a.  If not archived,      A:INSTALL
  36.  
  37.                b.  If archived, enter the following Commands:

  40.                    CD\
  41.                    MD KINFOLKS
  42.                    CD\KINFOLKS
  43.                    PAK E A:KINFOLKS.SDN
  44.                    NOTE:  Now insert C:\KINFOLKS in your Command "PATH"

  46.            We welcome your comments for improvements to KINFOLKS.  Drop
  47.       us a line to let us know your ideas.  Also, as this system is a
  48.       Shareware/User Supported product, please share your copy with as
  49.       many other users as possible --- spread the word.  Remember to
  50.       Register your copy, which will entitle you to receive a THANK
  51.       YOU diskette with my favorite utilities and future announcements
  52.       of enhanced versions of KINFOLKS.  "Fixes" to any "bugs" will
  53.       also be sent to you if you are registered.  In the long run,
